Michael Anthony Cooper, 67, of Daingerfield, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026.
Michael was born in Houston, Texas, and carried the spirit of his early coastal days with him throughout his life. In his younger years, he developed a love for surfing and music—two passions that never left him. While the waves may have been part of his past, music remained a constant companion, filling his home and heart for decades.
For more than 30 years, Michael worked faithfully as a mechanic. He took great pride in working with his hands, fixing what was broken, and helping others through his skill and dedication. His strong work ethic and quiet determination reflected the kind of man he was—steady, dependable, and humble.
Michael had a gift for bringing joy to those around him. He could light up a room with his smile and laughter, which was truly contagious. He enjoyed a good joke or prank and delighted in sharing moments of humor with family and friends. Even in simple, everyday moments, his laughter and warmth left lasting memories and lifted the spirits of all who knew him.
Michael found peace in living a quiet country life in Daingerfield. He valued simplicity, family, and the blessings God placed before him each day. His life was a testament to perseverance, love, faith, and joy. Though he was a man of few words, his actions—and his laughter—spoke volumes.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tina Marie Cooper; his brother, Robert Cooper, and Anne Cooper; his daughters, Laura Scoggins, Sarah Hebbeln, and Mandy Edwards; and his sons, Steven Cooper and Michael Cooper; and three cherished grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family deeply.
While no formal service will be held, the family takes comfort in knowing that Michael is now at rest in the presence of the Lord.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23
His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy of faith, strength, joy, and quiet devotion will not be forgotten.
